Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using InboxCheck ("the Service"), a product of Lanos Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), Silver Square, Dattatray Road, Santacruz West, Mumbai, India, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

InboxCheck provides email address verification through a Chrome browser extension and web dashboard. The Service checks whether email addresses are likely deliverable and provides informational verdicts such as Safe, Risky, or Unsafe. The Service also provides optional domain enrichment data (SPF, DMARC, domain age, blocklist status) to assist users in evaluating email quality.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for spamming, phishing, or any activity that violates applicable anti-spam legislation (including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, or equivalent local laws)
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, verification quotas, or other usage restrictions
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute verification results commercially without prior written permission
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond normal browser extension use
  • Share account credentials or authentication tokens with unauthorized parties
  • Use the Service to verify email addresses for which you do not have a lawful basis to process
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or related systems

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice if the violation poses an immediate risk to the Service or other users.

5. Service Tiers & Quotas

Free accounts receive an initial pool of complimentary verifications plus ongoing daily verifications, subject to fair use limits. Paid plans (Solo, Pro, Team) provide increased daily quotas and additional features. Current limits and pricing are published on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify these limits or introduce new tiers with 30 days notice. Burst credit packs are non-refundable, non-transferable, and expire 12 months after purchase.

6. Payments and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through our payment providers (PayPal and Razorpay). All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise specified. Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion within 7 days of purchase for subscription plans only. Burst credit purchases are non-refundable. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to your paid features until that date. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

7. Accuracy Disclaimer

Email verification results are provided on a "best effort" basis and are informational only. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy or deliverability. Results may be affected by recipient server configuration, temporary failures, greylisting, rate limiting by destination mail servers, or other factors entirely outside our control. You acknowledge that the Service is not a substitute for proper email list hygiene practices and that you bear sole responsibility for your sending practices and compliance with applicable laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you. In such cases, our warranties are limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LANOS TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD., ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, SENDER REPUTATION, EMAIL DELIVERABILITY, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lanos Technologies Pvt. Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law, rule, or regulation, including anti-spam, data protection, or privacy laws
  • Any claim by a third party arising from email addresses you submitted for verification or actions you took based on verification results
  • Your infringement of any third party's rights

11. Privacy & Data Handling

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. Email addresses submitted for verification are hashed using SHA-256 before database storage. We do not store raw email addresses in our database after processing.

12. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is the exclusive property of Lanos Technologies Pvt. Ltd. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service except for the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without prior written permission.

13. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, cloud infrastructure outages (including failures of third-party hosting, CDN, or database providers), cyberattacks, or labor disputes. We will notify you of any such event as soon as reasonably practicable and use commercially reasonable efforts to resume performance.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice for material violation of these Terms, including violations of the Acceptable Use policy. For other reasons, we will provide 30 days notice before termination. You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, any outstanding payment obligations survive, and we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections 8, 9, 10, 12, and 16 shall survive termination.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of at least thirty (30) days. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Mumbai, India, conducted in English, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

CLASS ACTION WAIVER: TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

16. General Provisions

  • Governing Law - These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
  • Entire Agreement - These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and DPA, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lanos Technologies Pvt. Ltd. regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
  • Severability - If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  • Waiver - Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment - You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets.
  • Notices - We may send you notices via the email address associated with your account. You are responsible for keeping your email address current.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
